Job Summary
The position involves operating and managing automated SMT assembly lines, performing in-process inspections, and ensuring quality in assembling PCBs. Ideal candidates will have experience with various equipment and IPC standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on SMT assembly experience in a high-mix, high-volume production environment.
- Proven proficiency in operating, setting up, and troubleshooting automated pick-and-place equipment.
- Strong understanding of SMT component families (e.g., 0201-1206, QFN, BGA, CSP, FCBGA).
- Experience using microscopes, AOI, SPI, and visual inspection techniques to identify and document defects.
- Familiarity with mixed-technology boards (both SMT and through-hole).
- Knowledge of lead-free, RoHS-compliant processes.
- Ability to stand for long periods and sustain moderate physical activity.
- Excellent manual dexterity for handling fine-pitch components and small tools.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (e.g., PCB trays, tooling).
