Job Summary
Perform repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs by placing parts in specified relationships and fastening them with bolts, clips, screws, or cement. Cut products to specific measurements, remove defective items, and tend machines for force fitting or fastening on the assembly line. Work at various stations as production needs dictate, adapting to changing product models, while cleaning equipment and work areas per safety procedures. No supervisory responsibilities. Overtime may be involved. Entry-level position with no education or experience requirements; prior carpentry experience helpful. Located in West Jordan, Utah.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Verbal expression ability to effectively present information, in both individual and small group situations
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Ability to read tape measure
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Prior carpentry experience helpful
- Overtime work could be involved
- Must regularly and frequently stand for a long period of time
- Must use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Must reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Must regularly and frequently walk
- Must occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must regularly and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

- Must be required to wear ear plugs for noise protection
