Job Summary
Wire, solder, fabricate, and assemble High Voltage Power Supply units, chassis, racks, and top assemblies using schematics, blueprints, BOMs, and ECNs. Fabricate vector board circuits and enclosures from engineering sketches while working with sheet metal and polycarbonate materials. Rework units as necessary and fill out configuration control travelers. Aid other assemblers and perform additional duties as requested by the supervisor. This role requires a minimum of three years in electro-mechanical device assembly with strong soldering skills. Shifts run 7:00am to 3:30pm with occasional overtime, weekends, and after-hours work. The position offers an hourly rate between $23.23 and $30.77. Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation specializes in precision DC high voltage power supplies and X-Ray generators for medical, industrial, and scientific applications.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years' minimum experience in the assembly of electro-mechanical devices
- Excellent soldering skills
- Must be able to identify component symbols and read technical Engineering documents
- Proficiency with basic hand tools, torque tools, and hand crimp tools
- Must be able to lift materials and product up to 30 pounds
- Willingness to work overtime (after hours and weekends) as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Prior industry experience in the Power Electronics field
- IPC 610 Solder Certification
- J-Standard certification
