Assembler II (Non-Routine)

Job Summary
Assembler II performs routine and semi-routine assembly tasks including sub-assemblies, assembling some final products, packaging, water spider, and checks parts for quality and function. Works with area manufacturing engineers, interprets standard work assembly drawings (SWADs), and operates hand tools, pneumatics tools, testing equipment, and PPE. Responsibilities include building final products, stocking inventory movements, quality checks, and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards. May assist in troubleshooting and repairing assemblies and may train less experienced assemblers. Requires 1-2 years of manufacturing experience and basic math/computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Able to perform basic math calculations.
- Must be able to troubleshoot problems when necessary.
- Must be able to operate the required hand tools and fixtures.
- Able to interpret standard work assembly drawings (SWAD), production order paperwork, test instructions, and quality checklists.
