Assembler II (2nd Shift)

Job Summary
Assemble parts according to specified work instructions and drawings using hand, battery, electric, and pneumatic tools, including circular saws and deburring tools for modified assemblies. Calibrate gas to test sensors, utilize laser etchers and engravers for customer specifications, and operate production systems to record order activity and manage inventory via LX screens. Complete customer orders using basic printing programs and adjust work as needed. Participate in safety, quality, delivery, and cost continuous improvement efforts while training others in the department. Perform basic 5S and Lean concepts to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workplace. This second-shift role supports Badger Meter's mission to preserve and protect the world's most precious resource through water technology innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Basic proficiency with computers including an ERP system and Microsoft Office
- Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina
- Ability to use basic Hand, battery, electric and pneumatic powered tools
- Ability to use circular saws, deburring tools
- Ability to use laser etcher, dot peen etcher and engraver
- Ability to calibrate gas to test sensors
- Ability to use basic printing programs
- Ability to use Production system
- Ability to navigate through basic LX screens
- Ability to complete an audiogram test
- Those working in the Aerospace department must be able to pass a Vision, Color Vision, and Depth perception test
Desired Qualifications
- High School Degree/GED
- 3+ years of experience in assembly/manufacturing
- Understand gluing and centering to specific tolerances which includes multiple areas/products
- If applicable, ability to use function generators and multimeter test equipment
