Job Summary
Assemble various parts into sub or final assemblies using hand tools or equipment on production units while utilizing control sheets and engineering drawings. Cross train on multiple processes to maintain flexibility within the line and mentor other assemblers on certified procedures. Conduct self-inspections on completed assemblies to ensure all work meets quality specifications and operational procedures. Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area, support 5S initiatives, and identify opportunities to reduce line scrap cost. Communicate any issues regarding control sheets, drawings, or line damages immediately to the line lead or supervisor. Follow all RECARO safety processes and policies, participate in team meetings, and provide feedback on process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Demonstration of mechanical aptitude and potential to assemble station
- At least 2 years of working experience in similar environment, preferably doing work of a mechanical nature
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation such as control sheets or engineering drawings
- Ability to assemble product according to the product specifications
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to work flexible hours on short notice and overtime
- Good punctuality and attendance
- Positive attitude
