Job Summary
Assemble, modify and install aircraft structural assemblies and sub-assemblies. Responsibilities include preparing for assembly by following instructions, assembling components using hand tools and equipment, performing quality inspections, managing non-conformance issues, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Required skills include technical aptitude, mathematical understanding, verbal and written communication, and the ability to read and interpret engineering documents. Candidates should be able to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrate attention to detail, and adapt to a changing work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must have technical/mechanical aptitude
- Must demonstrate the ability to understand and work with basic mathematical concepts
- Must have excellent verbal, written and listening skills
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, interpret, and understand customer drawing, mylars and sketches
- Must be able to acquire required certifications for inspecting and accepting parts
- Must have a positive attitude, professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be able to pass basic skills assessment for Microsoft Excel
- Must demonstrate basic skills with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Must exhibit ability to analyse, troubleshoot & correct quality issues
- Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Must be able to pay attention to detail
- Must be adaptable to a changing work environment
- Must be able to work extended hours, overtime and weekends when necessary
