Job Summary
Observe molding machines and peripheral equipment for proper operation, inspect components, and report discrepancies to mold setters or supervisors. Read and follow work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and job instruction sheets. Visually inspect parts, place acceptable components in labeled boxes, and seal containers upon attaining correct quantities. Remove scrap parts to the red bin and transfer sprues/runners to appropriate containers. Pull hourly samples for QA inspection, labeling bags with date, machine number, and part number. Notify the supervisor of recurring defects, machine stops, or blocked cavities. Ensure material labels match grinder labels and clean the work area if machines are down. Adhere to all safety, attendance, and personal hygiene policies.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Math skills
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- High School Diploma or GED
- One to two years of experience and/or training in a manufacturing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
