Job Summary
Entry-level Assembler I in Manufacturing for exterior roofing. Performs manufacturing production operations across multiple departments: framing, layout, building floors and walls, installing electrical rough-in (lines, switches, panels), dry-in with finish tape/mud/texture, roofing (decking, flashing, shingles), cabinet/finish carpentry, siding, windows, and doors. Emphasizes safety and OSHA compliance; works in a team to meet quality standards and productivity targets; assists Supervisors in planning/managing manufacturing activities, communicates material shortages and maintenance needs, and maintains clean, orderly work areas. Requires ability to read simple drawings, use hand tools and measuring devices, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and be capable of lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally with protective equipment as needed. Overtime is involved. Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States; pre-employment drug screen required. Benefits and equal opportunity employer assistance provided by BFS.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Construction or Warehouse Experience a plus, but not required
- Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings greatly desired
- Skilled in the operation and control of hand tools (tape measure, hammer, utility knife, etc.)
- Flexible to work in a fast paced, changing environment
