Job Summary
Home Building Team Member – Assembler I (entry-level) performs manufacturing production operations across departments in the home building process. Responsibilities include framing, layout and building floors and walls, wiring and installing electrical lines, switches, receptacles and panels, preparing surfaces for finish, roofing tasks, cabinet and finish carpentry, siding, windows and doors, painting interiors/exteriors, and maintaining safety and quality standards. Work in a team environment, follow OSHA regulations, protect assets, report maintenance and quality issues, assist Supervisors/Forepersons to plan and organize activities, and perform other duties as assigned. Requires reading and interpreting simple drawings, using common hand tools, ability to stand, lift up to 100 pounds, and willingness to work overtime. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred; must be 18+ and legally eligible to work in the United States; pre-employment drug screen required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary
- Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings greatly desired
- Skilled in the operation and control of hand tools (tape measure, hammer, utility knife, etc.)
- Flexible to work in a fast paced, changing environment
