Job Summary
Assembler I is responsible for safely assembling finished products using components, sub-assemblies, fasteners, and packaging materials in accordance with SOPs and quality/regulatory requirements. The role involves reviewing drawings and work instructions, maintaining inventory of sub-assemblies and parts, operating power and hand tools and machine controls, adhering to safety policies and wearing PPE, completing production documentation and time/material reporting, performing basic arithmetic for production reporting, maintaining a clean work environment, using scan guns for production orders and WIP, and working in a team or independently to meet production output goals. The position may involve training new full-time and temporary employees and cross-training across different departmental areas. Education typically requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred). Other competencies include basic computer skills, strong written and verbal communication, customer-focused interpersonal skills, and the ability to follow procedures and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and email
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal
- Interpersonal skills with internal and external customers
- Ability to operate power and hand tools and machinery safely
- Ability to follow SOPs and maintain accurate documentation
- Willingness to cross-train and rotate between areas
- Eligibility to work in the country the position is based in
