Job Summary
Assemble and inspect products on the SMT line using Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment. Ensure ESD compliance, handle moisture sensitive devices per MSL, verify workmanship per IPC-A-610 and AOI programs, and verify data collected by machinery for program integrity. Communicate defects to operators and responsible personnel, support ISO quality management systems (including 6S, environment, health & safety), and assist with routine tasks to maintain multiple customer product lines. Requires familiarity with AOI procedures, IPC standards, Windows/Microsoft Office, and the ability to follow established procedures with minimal supervision. This role is based in Fremont, CA and is on-site (IN_PERSON).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience with Windows operating systems including Microsoft Office
- Experience working for an ISO9000n or AS9100 accredited organization is a plus
- Knowledge of Automated Optical Inspection equipment and procedures
- Pass IPC-DVD-64C Component Identification
- Pass IPC-A-610 Modules 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 & 8 workmanship standards
- Ability to utilize electronic manufacturing systems
- Ability to support a minimum of 2 customer products while maintaining quality and production standard requirements
- Ability to work on multiple tasks using a wide range of procedures with a minimum low-level complexity
- Ability to follow established procedures on routine work
- Respond to defects and communicate accordingly to ensure program integrity
- Contribute to 6S and environmental/health/safety objectives
