Job Summary
Assemble and disassemble gas turbine components and subassemblies following established work instructions, drawings, and specifications. Interpret technical documents to complete assigned tasks, positioning, fitting, fastening, and torquing components using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and cranes. Perform basic mechanical and electrical assembly, including wiring connections and conduit work, while verifying alignment and recording quality data with standard measuring devices. Operate material-moving equipment such as forklifts and cranes as trained, and identify routine machining issues to maintain production flow. Take ownership of compliance, safety, and quality in your area of responsibility. This role supports the Greenville Gas Turbine site's mission to build advanced power technology for global customers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or electrical assembly experience using hand tools, power tools, and standard assembly equipment
- Experience following work instructions, drawings, diagrams, schematics, or assembly documentation to complete standardized work
- Basic experience installing, fastening, fitting, or routing mechanical and/or electrical components in a production or manufacturing environment
- Must be capable and comfortable working in confined spaces and working at heights
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Successful completion of an assessment for the job class, background check, and drug screen
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Experience with gas turbine, heavy industrial, power generation, or large equipment assembly
- Experience with mechanical/electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with cranes, hoists, lifts, or other industrial material-handling equipment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on safety and quality
- Strong attention to detail, dependability, and a team-first mindset
