Job Summary
Assembler role in the Assembly Department at Unifin International (a Wabtec Company) in London, Ontario. Report to the Production Supervisor and work with 41 production team members. Responsibilities include assembling components on the line, following detailed assembly instructions and drawings, inspecting components and assemblies for defects to meet quality standards, operating forklift and overhead/jib cranes, loading/unloading trucks, and collaborating with 2–4 teammates to meet production goals and deadlines. Requires using hand tools and manufacturing equipment (wrenches, impact gun, grinders, measuring tape, ply bars, hammers), maintaining safety and clean work areas, and occasionally working alone while ensuring team safety. Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and adapt to production targets and timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Overhead crane material handling experience
- Minimum 5 years as a highly experienced forklift operator with proven safety record; experience unloading and loading flat beds
- Attention to detail
- Able to lift 50lbs
