Job Summary
Assemble compressors, frames, separator tanks, and engine components using Work Center Instructions, P&I diagrams, and wiring drawings. Apply decals, measure and cut tubing, install foam insulation, heat trace tape, and couplings. Wire machines, terminate harnesses, test electrical controls, and inspect finished products before moving to finished goods. Requisition materials, maintain a clean work area, and comply with safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School education
- Minimum of two years post high school training/experience
- Minimum of 2 years' previous manufacturing assembly
- Basic computer skills
- Basic reading skills
- Mechanical assembly ability
- Ability to read simple blueprints
- Ability to read wiring diagrams/drawings
- Knowledge of basic electricity
- Knowledge of wiring diagrams/drawings
- Lifting up to 35 lbs
- Physically able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reaching, kneeling and working in awkward positions
- Working with cranes, presses, cleaning solvents, sharp edges on parts, hot materials, electrical components, and moving parts by carts
- Working with high air pressure equipment
- Working at times extreme noise
- Must understand and comply with the 5 Cardinal Rules
- Participate in EHS quarterly audits, if required
- Required to wear the proper PPE equipment for the work area
- Required to attend scheduled toolbox and safety meetings
- Must immediately report injuries or unsafe conditions to the supervisor
- Comply with Hitachi Global Air Power US Code of Ethics and related policies
- Take all steps necessary to comply with safety rules and requirements
- Actively support the organization's efforts to meet and exceed its goals of creating and maintaining a safe workplace
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to read blueprints
- Prior forklift experience
- Completion of forklift training
- Working with various hand and pneumatic tools
- Working with various measuring tools
- Mechanical assembly ability, ability to read simple blueprints, wiring diagrams/drawings preferred
