Assembler / Fabrication Technician

Job Summary
Assembler and Fabrication Technician I will assemble, weld, and fabricate metal components following work instructions, blueprints, and technical specifications. On-the-job training provided for welding; perform cutting, grinding, fitting, tacking, and finishing; monitor welding/fitting to prevent damage; conduct quality checks and document results; maintain a safe, clean work area; participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives; potential forklift certification if required; duties include learning material properties, welding techniques, and basic machine operation as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED, or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
- Hands-on experience or willingness to learn assembly, welding, or fabrication processes (cutting, grinding, drilling, welding/brazing)
- Basic understanding of safety and shop practices; willingness to learn techniques
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail with clear communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while prioritizing tasks effectively
