Job Summary

Assemble hydraulic demolition shears and related components using hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures while verifying fit, alignment, and torque specifications. Support Lean Manufacturing Operations by following standardized work instructions, identifying workflow efficiency improvements, and maintaining 5S standards in a clean, organized work area. Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and final inspection activities to ensure quality and performance requirements are achieved. Participate in daily team meetings, contribute to problem-solving, and perform cross-functional tasks such as shipping, receiving, or inventory support. May drive a fork truck to load and unload trucks if certified. Complete assembly operations while maintaining established safety, quality, and productivity standards in a fast-paced, onsite environment in Two Harbors, MN.

Required Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Mechanically inclined and interested in building large industrial equipment and attachments
  • Experienced in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, fabrication, maintenance, or related industrial work
  • Able to read and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Familiar with hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and assembly equipment
  • Detail-oriented and committed to producing high-quality work
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, lean manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude
  • Positive attitude
  • Commitment to safety
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral procedures
  • Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 33 pounds
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Mobility to move within department/plant

  • Certified to drive fork truck (if required for the specific assignment)
