Job Summary

Assemble, modify, and install aircraft structural assemblies, sub-assemblies, and structures on aircraft systems by following work instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists. Perform repairs and rework for issues requiring or not requiring Material Review Board approval, while self-inspecting work and ensuring all assemblies are free of Foreign Object Debris. Shim, fit, trim, and align structural components using various hand tools, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Report non-conformances, unsafe conditions, and job status to Team Leads or Production Supervisors, maintaining production schedules and Earned Standard Hour objectives. Keep tools operational through preventive maintenance and ensure a safe, clean work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have technical/mechanical aptitude
  • Must demonstrate the ability to understand and work with basic mathematical concepts
  • Must have excellent verbal, written and listening skills and have the ability to provide written and verbal instructions and present information clearly
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read, interpret, and understand customer drawing, mylars and sketches as applicable to work being performed at Orizon
  • Must be able to acquire required certifications for inspecting and accepting parts in assigned area
  • Must have a positive attitude, professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be able to pass basic skills assessment for Microsoft Excel and also demonstrate basic skills with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Must exhibit ability to analyse, troubleshoot & correct quality issues
  • Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Must be able to pay attention to detail
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Must be able to work extended hours, overtime and weekends when necessary to support production and operations activities
