Job Summary
Assemble basic components using hand tools and equipment engineered for light assembly, performing repetitive tasks such as attaching, labeling, or packaging parts with precision. Inspect products for defects and functionality to quality standards, identifying and segregating defective parts for review while documenting issues encountered during assembly. Adhere to safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), performing basic equipment checks and reporting potential safety hazards to leaders. Track and document production metrics, including completed units or defects, and follow step-by-step written or verbal instructions. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, storing tools and equipment properly. Work overtime as needed to meet production goals, crosstrain in other areas, and adjust to new processes or technologies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Familiarity with assembly techniques, tools, and equipment
- Basic computer literacy
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and testing equipment effectively
- Ability to produce parts and products to meet quality standards
- Ability to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or production requirements
- Ability to handle parts and tools with precision
- Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes
