Job Summary
Assemble and inspect product parts on the assembly line using established procedures, standards, and blueprints. Fasten components with bolts, screws, rivets, or other fasteners while operating drill presses, hand drills, and riveting machines. Disassemble, re-work, or salvage scrap parts and perform spot checks to ensure adherence to quality standards. Inspect finished goods for defects such as missing brackets or incorrect artwork, removing small metal quantities to achieve a smooth finish. Operate forklifts upon completing certification and input data into the Traverse Manufacturing System. This role requires a high school diploma, one to three months of related experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Located at our Greenwood, IN facility on a third shift schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 months related experience and/or training
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Mathematical skills to manage units of measure, fractions, decimals, whole numbers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine set-up and operations to be formed
- Ability to set-up and operate a Rivet Machine
- Ability to input and maintain data in Traverse Manufacturing System
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Mechanical Assembly Skills
