Job Summary
Safely complete assembly tasks by positioning parts according to unit specifications or blueprints, fastening components with bolts, washers, screws, clips, and rivets, and removing small metal quantities with hand files and scrapers to ensure close fits. Operate hand tools, small presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in the assembly operation, then hand pack and seal assembled fittings and parts into containers for shipping. Participate in team safety programs and perform other duties as assigned. This 2nd shift role involves 10-hour Monday through Thursday rotations with overtime as needed to meet customer demand at ABB's Jonesboro, Arkansas facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent
- Able to read 2 or 3 syllable words and recognize similarities/differences between words and/or numbers
- Able to print
- Able to add, subtract 2 digit numbers and multiply/divide by 10 or 100 accurately
- Work authorization that permits them to work for ABB in the U.S.
