Job Summary
Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements; assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fasten parts and subassemblies; verify specifications by measuring completed components; resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notify supervisor to obtain additional resources. Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshoot malfunctions; call for repairs. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; document actions by completing production and quality forms. Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed supplies; place and expedite orders for supplies; verify receipt of supplies. First shift schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experienced use of hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous power tools and equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Apprenticeship in area of specialty a plus
