Job Summary
Prepare assembly work by studying instructions, blueprints, and parts lists; gather components, tools, and materials. Position subassemblies using templates or measurements, assemble components by examining connections, fasten parts, and verify specifications by measuring completed units. Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet tolerances and notify supervisors for additional resources. Maintain equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and following manufacturer instructions. Keep the work environment safe and clean while documenting actions on production and quality forms. Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock levels, expediting orders, and verifying receipt of materials.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experienced use of hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous power tools and equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Apprenticeship in area of specialty a plus
