Job Summary
Disassemble and reassemble test-fired weapons and components for crew-served aircraft and weapons, ensuring proper interchange of sub-assembly parts within required tolerances. Perform final qualifying operations, fitting, and rework tasks using precision gages, drill presses, riveters, and hand tools to meet stringent inspection standards. Maintain weapons data, inventory, and serial numbers while strictly adhering to security requirements and safety protocols. This role requires lifting items up to 35 lbs and includes successful completion of Aircraft Assembly basic classes and Assembler #1 testing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Employee must have basic computer skills
- Average eighteen (18) months of experience
- Includes over one (1) year through two (2) years
- Ability to use a variety of ordinary machine tools
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Successful completion of Aircraft Assembly basic classes
- Successful completion of the written and practical test for Assembler #1
- Knowledge of general riveting operations
- Excellent blueprint reading skills
- Shop math skills
- Proficiency with a wide variety of precision measuring tools
- Ability to be constantly aware of security and foreign object debris hazards
- Must have physical ability to lift, move, adjust, etc. items weighing approximately 35 lbs.
