ASPHALT SUPERINTENDENT (SEASONAL)

Job Summary
Conduct daily site inspections, walk-arounds, and equipment checks to identify unsafe conditions and ensure compliance with MSHA, OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations. Coordinate asphalt paving and production operations by communicating crew needs with dispatch and the plant, calculating truck requirements based on capacity and traffic, and monitoring material quality to troubleshoot issues. Lead and coach employees on safety protocols and OSHA standards while accurately recording production, quality, and personnel data for the Operations Manager. Tour the work site to track progress against time schedules and optimize worker and equipment utilization. This seasonal role requires a minimum of 7 years of product line experience, proper licensure, and the ability to work flexible shifts including overtime, nights, and Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years experience in product line
- Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, possible nights and some Saturdays
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Able to work independently and under time constraints
Desired Qualifications
- Over 2 years up to and including 4 years from post high school, work, military, institutional or vocational environment
