Job Summary
Asphalt Plant Maintenance/Welder role requiring 1-3 years of asphalt plant repairs with strong mechanical knowledge. Responsibilities include examining parts for wear, analyzing malfunctions, welding broken parts and structural members with stick welding, inspecting parts to ensure dimensional accuracy, adjusting devices and control instruments, lubricating, repairing electrical equipment, working with plumbing and related plant functions, and maintaining attendance. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and pass physicals. CDL Class B is preferred but not required. Work primarily on-site at Florida facilities in a maintenance/mechanics capacity within CRH Preferred Materials - Asphalt Division.
Required Qualifications
- 1 - 3 years of experience in Asphalt plant repairs
- Thorough mechanical knowledge of asphalt plant production and related equipment
- Weld broken parts and structural members using stick welding processes
- Possess a Class B CDL - preferred not required
- Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel and pass required physical examination
- Maintain reliable attendance and a positive attitude
