Asphalt Plant Laborer

Job Summary
Support daily plant operations by monitoring material flow, handling raw materials, and assisting with start-up and shutdown procedures. Load and unload materials, operate skid steers, and maintain equipment and work areas to ensure safe, efficient production. Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and perform routine inspections on plant machinery. Coordinate with operators, mechanics, and truck drivers to address production issues and maintain accurate records. Assist in quality control monitoring and report irregularities to management. Work in various weather conditions with exposure to dust, noise, and heat, performing tasks that include lifting heavy objects and climbing.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to travel to and from plant locations as required
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members
- Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions to ensure safety and efficiency
- Must be able to stand, sitting, stooping, bending, walking, climbing, and lifting heavy objects (50 pounds or more) during the workday
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements, dust, noise, and heat
- Must be able to work around moving mechanical parts and elevated work areas

- Previous experience in asphalt, construction, or industrial environments
