Job Summary
Asphalt Paving Laborer and Operator Helper responsible for assisting in the preparation and construction of roadways, parking lots, and paved surfaces, spreading and smoothing asphalt with rakes and shovels, setting up and breaking down work zones with traffic control and safety barriers, maintaining tools and equipment, positioning paving machinery, and communicating with foreman and crew to meet project requirements; role requires outdoor work, safety focus, and flexible hours including nights and weekends, with duties supported by a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work outdoors in extreme conditions such as cold, heat, and humidity
- Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and overtime as needed
- Positive, customer service-oriented attitude
- Standing/Walking: Frequent; Lifting up to 50 pounds; Carrying up to 35 pounds; Pushing/Pulling 75+ pounds; Balancing; Reaching/Handling/Gripping; Climbing; Bending/Crouching/Kneeling; Environmental conditions including heat, dust, fumes, noise, and close proximity to traffic
