Asphalt Paver Operator

Job Summary
Operate asphalt paver equipment to lay asphalt to specified depth, width, and grade; monitor and adjust machine settings for smooth, even pavement; coordinate with crew (screed operators, laborers, truck drivers) to maintain material flow; perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance; identify safety concerns and communicate with supervisors; follow project plans, blueprints, and specifications; ensure work meets quality standards and athletic governing body guidelines; assist with setup/breakdown and jobsite prep; comply with safety policies and DOT regulations; support crew during downtime; perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience operating paving equipment (asphalt paver, roller, skid steer, etc.)
- Knowledge of grading, compaction, and drainage principles
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and layout measurements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
