Job Summary
Perform all work according to MSHA and H&K safety policies while maintaining clean work areas including catwalks and walkways. Execute plant maintenance, proactively learn plant functions, and obtain knowledge to complete assigned tasks. Take direction from site personnel, work within a team, and cross train to learn all plant jobs for substitution when necessary. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, ability to fit test and utilize PPE, and physical capacity to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally. Must regularly stand, walk, climb, and balance in an outdoor environment with moving mechanical parts and loud noise.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR related experience and/or training
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Must be available for pre-employment drug testing
- Must be available for pre-employment physical
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ months related experience
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Strong preference for Loader operation experience
- Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting
- MSHA or other relevant safety certification
