Job Summary
Conduct daily bakery operations by preparing, packaging, labeling, and displaying fresh products while ensuring strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and temperature control protocols. Manage inventory discrepancies, execute product recalls, and maintain accurate temperature documentation to minimize waste and meet regulatory standards. Deliver courteous service by answering product inquiries, offering samples, and fulfilling special orders to build customer loyalty. Collaborate with the team to promote safety, respect, and inclusive work practices while operating specialized equipment like mixers and slicers. Work rotating shifts in a retail environment involving standing, lifting up to 250 pounds, and exposure to cold temperatures and potential hazards.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain it
- Successful completion and background check verification
- Solid customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills
- Ability to operate bakery equipment (e.g., slicer, oven, scale, knives, box cutter, price gun) according to company guidelines
- Ability to stand or walk on various types of floors
- Ability to use manual dexterity
- Ability to speak
- Ability to see
- Ability to hear
- Ability to smell
- Ability to perform repetitive movements with both hands and/or both feet
- Ability to reach hand to waist height or above head height
- Ability to carry, push, or lift various loads to required weights
- Ability to sit occasionally
- Ability to maintain balance
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and climb up to 10 feet
- Ability to work in indoor, outdoor, cold, freezing, heating, and humid conditions
- Ability to turn around and/or neck
- Ability to walk on a slippery or cluttered floor surface
- Ability to work with dangerous equipment
- Ability to be exposed to sharp objects
- Ability to be exposed to loud noises
- Ability to be exposed to skin irritants
- Ability to be exposed to dusty, irritating, fumes, aerosols, hazardous cleaning solutions, and other toxins
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (goggles, gloves, cut-resistant gloves, fryer gloves, oven gloves, back support)
- Ability to handle traction requirements of 250 lbs
- Ability to handle lifting requirements of 35 lbs
- Ability to work occasional shifts without scheduled shifts
- Ability to work varied shifts
Desired Qualifications
