Job Summary
ASME Welder/Fabricator in an Industrial Service and Manufacturing facility in Stoystown, PA. Responsibilities include welding and fabricating tanks and components to ASME Section VIII Division 1 Code standards, using FCAW, GMAW, SAW, SMAW processes. Must read blueprints/drawings/schematics, follow written instructions in English in a high-volume environment, adhere to safety rules, and work overtime as needed. Will obtain company-required certification within 60 days of hire. Tasks include communicating with supervisors and co-workers, safely operating overhead cranes (training provided), using electric grinding equipment, lifting up to 60 lbs, climbing ladders and working at heights up to 16 ft, and occasionally working in confined spaces. Reads and interprets manufacturing blueprints and performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Plant Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working under ASME codes and standards
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Ability to follow written instructions in English in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Ability to follow safety rules and regulations
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Weld and fabricate various tanks and components to ASME Section VIII Division 1 Code standards
- Welding includes FCAW / GMAW, SAW, SMAW
- Obtain company required certification for above within 60 days of hire
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
- Safely operate equipment including overhead cranes (training provided)
- Comfortable using electric grinding equipment
- Read and interpret manufacturing blueprints
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Plant Manager
