Job Summary
ASME Welder II performs ASME code welding on pressure vessels, piping, and structural components, utilizing FCAW, GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, and SAW on carbon steel, stainless steel, and nickel-based alloys. Reads and interprets engineering drawings and weld procedures, completes ASME weld logs and quality documentation, and passes non-destructive testing (NDT) for pressure-retaining welds. Requires on-site weld tests aligned with ASME Section IX; prior ASME code welding experience; rotates shift with overtime opportunities; company-paid certifications, and comprehensive benefits. On-site role at Calgon Carbon's Pittsburgh facility with emphasis on high-skill fabrication and safety.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience welding pressure vessels or pipe (FCAW required)
- High school diploma or trade school certification (welding preferred)
- Ability to pass on-site weld qualification testing
