Job Summary
ASME Welder 1 in Evanston, WY. Essential duties include reading and understanding plans and specifications (including isometric and orthographic drawings), laying out and welding pipe and tubular products to applicable plans, specifications, codes, and standards, testing and repairing installations, and installing related components. Requires adherence to safety regulations and the ability to use hand and power tools to cut, assemble, weld, and install piping, supports, valves, and control equipment. Must have (or be able to obtain) a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years welding experience preferred, and pass a 6G weld test (2-inch Schedule 40 stainless, TIG with argon purge, Visual & X-ray inspection). Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift in all weather and temperature extremes and to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)Preferred
- Experience 1–3 years' welding experience preferred
- Must pass 6G weld test consisting of one coupon: 2-inch Schedule 40 stainless, TIG with argon purge, Visual & X-ray inspection.
