Job Summary
ASME Authorized Inspector Supervisor role overseeing independent inspections to ASME code, mentoring engineers and surveyors, developing and approving procedures and checklists in accordance with ASME and National Board guidelines, coordinating with project coordinators/managers, and participating in site project meetings. Responsible for preparing inspection reports, guiding AIs, training staff, and maintaining strong client relationships; requires travel and ability to work in varied weather conditions on site facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to perform Independent inspections to ASME code requirements
- Must be able to lead a team of AIs and act as mentor for surveyors
- Must be able to review procedures, reports, method statements, and other documents related to his/her scope of responsibilities
- Must be willing to travel and work in site facilities under various weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- ASME/NB inspector certification
- experience leading and mentoring a team of inspectors
- training and competency authorization
- ability to prepare and edit procedures and checklists
- familiarity with DNV guidelines for inspection reports
- strong client communication and coordination skills
- willingness to travel
- physical fitness for site inspections in varied weather conditions
