Job Summary
Assist individuals with daily activities, including hygiene functions, food preparation, and active treatment. Implement behavioral goals, teaching strategies, and monitoring procedures while modeling positive adult roles. Provide meaningful community experiences and maintain specified supervision levels. Document case notes, communication logs, incident reports, and safety reports accurately and timely. Requires a valid Connecticut driver's license, high school diploma, and ability to obtain medication certification within six months. Positions are available for per diem support in the Winsted area for individuals with dual diagnoses.
Required Qualifications
- ASL fluent
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3 to 6 months-related experience and /or training, or human service training certificate
- Valid Connecticut Driver's License
- Department of Developmental Services - Medication Certification (to be obtained within six months of hire)
- Public Service License valid for the state of Connecticut (if applicable)
- CPR and First Aid certification
