Job Summary
The Cook II – Specialty Asian Buffet will prepare a variety of Asian-inspired items for the Dragon Wok and Noodle area, including hand-rolled sushi, Nigiri, Sashimi, and wok-cooked dishes, with responsibilities spanning prep, line cooking, batch production, and maintaining par levels. Requires experience in Asian cuisine, familiarity with sushi production, and adherence to food safety standards; duties include operating woks, stoves, broilers, deep fryers, and rice cookers, ensuring cleanliness, proper storage, FIFO, and following menu/recipe specifications. Must hold a valid food handler’s permit and Serve Safe certification, be able to lift 50+ pounds, pass a background check for licensing, and be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume casino kitchen environment. Indian Preference applies. 29 hours per week, part-time, on casino floor; 18+ with pre-employment drug testing.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a line cook in Asian cuisine
- Knowledge of sushi production, Pho, Wok cooking
- Must have a valid food handler’s permit
- Serve Safe certification
Additional Requirements
- Indian Preference: Preference given to members of federally recognized Indian tribes; applicant must submit Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with application
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be 18 years of age
- Extensive background check for State/Tribal License
