Job Summary
Lead advisory portfolio management for ultra-high net worth clients by delivering individualized market insights, monitoring account performance, and implementing proactive portfolio strategies. Execute client orders, oversee trade execution and settlement across equities, fixed income, and alternative investments, and ensure full compliance with product suitability and AWM policies. Source new fund opportunities through industry networking, present investment ideas to the IMS investment committee, and manage the product onboarding lifecycle. Contribute to business development by delivering institutional-grade content at franchise events and continuously enhance advisory processes for greater efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- University graduate in business-oriented disciplines
- 4-8 years of professional experience in the financial industry with an analytical background
- Solid understanding of the wealth management industry
- Acute awareness of ongoing product and regulatory developments concerning markets and fund products
- Conscientiousness about product risk principles
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to multi-task, manage within tight schedules and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility, entrepreneurial mindset and meticulousness
- Abundant interpersonal skills, highly collaborative and ability to engage effectively with business stakeholders
- Ability to foster relationships across the investment and wealth management industry
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and public-speaking in English and Mandarin (Cantonese)
- Advanced proficiency across desktop applications
- Enthusiasm for AI tooling
- Registered, or eligible to be registered, as HKMA Relevant Individual for Type 1 (dealing in securities) and Type 4 (advising on securities) regulated activities
- PWMA Certified Private Wealth Professional (CPWP) or certified within 12 months of employment
- Must be in your position for at least 18 months and performing satisfactorily (for internal applicants)
Desired Qualifications
- Strong interest in institutional research capabilities, financial markets, investment managers and economic dynamics
- Ability to distil and convey complex information in a coherent and articulate manner
- Ability to engage effectively with business stakeholders foster relationships across the investment and wealth management industry
- Other languages a plus
- Certified within 12 months of employment (for PWMA)
