Job Summary
Hands-on leadership role leading a crew on sealed pavement maintenance and dig-out works in Ashburton. Responsibilities include operating plant and machinery (including 20 tonne excavators), coordinating labour, plant, subcontractors and suppliers, holding pre-starts and maintaining a safe, productive site, and delivering work to required safety and quality standards. Requires solid construction/maintenance experience, proven leadership of site crews, a Class 2 licence with WTR endorsement, and the ability to read plans, think ahead, solve problems, and drive on-time delivery. The role emphasizes safety, quality, teamwork, and doing good work within a collaborative Fulton Hogan environment.
Required Qualifications
- Current Class 2 licence with WTR endorsement is essential; additional licence classes would be advantageous
- Solid experience leading site crews and communicating clearly on the job
- Experience operating heavy machinery, including excavators, in fast paced work environments
- Ability to read plans, think ahead, solve problems and keep delivery on track
