Job Summary
Aseptic Technician Lead responsible for the setup, breakdown, repairs, and preventive maintenance of equipment and systems used to convey sterile containers and fill vials/ampules. Coordinates with production to schedule break down/setup of machinery in the aseptic environment; leads daily/weekly task planning, troubleshoots equipment, performs preventive maintenance, ensures safe conditions and proper inventory of change parts, and serves as liaison to supervision to achieve department goals. Leads projects and provides direction to staff; requires extensive experience in manufacturing, leadership, and strong technical skills in electrical, pneumatic, and control systems, with knowledge of cGMP and safety practices. Shift: 3pm-11:30pm; expects flexibility for off-shift and overtime. Equal Opportunity Employer. Location: Shirley, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- 5 years leadership experience in manufacturing
- Use of small hand tools (multimeter, band saw, drill)
- Knowledge of 120V-208V AC/3-24VDC; electronics troubleshooting is a plus
- Knowledge of 3phase electrical systems
- Knowledge of pneumatics, solid state relays, transformers
- Knowledge of cGMP preferred
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Working knowledge of PLC-based control systems
- Advanced troubleshooting of manufacturing machinery
- Safety programs (Lockout/Tagout, line breaking)
- Basic Microsoft Office and Windows skills
- Flexibility for multiple shifts and overtime
