Job Summary
Lead and oversee the assigned grade group, guiding teacher support, managing documentation, and ensuring student social-emotional needs are addressed and escalated appropriately. Serve as the primary liaison with the day-time teaching team to coordinate continuity of care, including attending classroom closing circles, while implementing health and safety policies and managing attendance and dismissal procedures. Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Programs to navigate age-appropriate activities, coach team teachers, and apply data-informed practices to guide decision-making. Attend required professional development, staff meetings, and team check-ins, while actively seeking feedback to strengthen program quality and maintaining a respectful environment for over 200 daily students.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree
- 4+ years of experience working with children
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the work day, including under varied conditions
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs to transport supplies and equipment
- Five day schedules
