Job Summary
ASE Technician role responsible for diagnosing automotive systems, performing repairs and maintenance across ASE-listed areas, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering quality service. Requires reading and interpreting technical instructions, explaining vehicle information to customers, and maintaining ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) or equivalent; involves maintaining service work orders, MPI processing, and adherence to VIP processes. Must pass safety policies, achieve productivity targets, and complete required LMS and safety training; potential pathway to Licensed State Vehicle Inspector and specialized certifications (T.I.A. BATS, TPMS) with emphasis on teamwork and customer engagement.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
