Job Summary
Non-exempt hourly ASE Technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing automotive systems across ASE areas, ensuring safety, accurate service orders, and quality workmanship. Duties include customer communication, performing repairs and maintenance per ASE certifications (A1–A8 as applicable), obtaining parts from the desk team, maintaining productivity and shop cleanliness, completing required training and certifications (including ASE and state inspections), road testing when needed, and adhering to VIP quality and safety standards. Requires ability to interpret instructions, explain vehicle information to customers, and achieve safe, first-time-right service within a 5-for-5 customer engagement framework.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
