Job Summary
ASE Technician role performing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services across automotive systems (A1–A8 ASE areas). Responsibilities include creating and following Service Work Orders, completing MPIs, maintaining safe work practices, and ensuring quality service per VIP standards. Requires reading and interpreting technical instructions, explaining vehicle conditions to customers, and achieving first-time right repairs. Minimum education/experience includes one year in automotive service or equivalent with ASE-related certifications and a valid driver’s license; two-year college or technical program recommended. Must participate in required training, maintain ASE certifications per position, and uphold safety and environmental regulations. Work environment is indoor shop with potential exposure to chemicals, noise, and varying weather; standard schedule is five days, 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
