Job Summary
ASE Technician role in Rockland, ME focusing on diagnosing and repairing automotive systems across ASE-series areas (A1-A8), ensuring service work orders and MPI are completed, maintaining safety standards, and achieving quality workmanship. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing engine, transmission, drive train, suspension, brakes, electrical/electronic systems, HVAC, and engine performance; following safety policies; maintaining shop cleanliness and equipment; coordinating with desk staff for parts; and pursuing ASE certification per position (G1, A4, A5 or all A-series for higher levels). The position emphasizes effective communication with customers, adherence to VIP processes, and participation in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process, with the work environment being a non-exempt hourly shop role requiring on-site presence.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
