Job Summary
ASE Technician position in Rochester, NH focusing on diagnosing and repairing automotive systems across ASE areas (Engine Repair, Automatic/Manual Trans, Brakes, Suspension & Steering, Electrical, Heating & A/C, Engine Performance). Responsibilities include safe operation, completing service work orders, MPI, customer engagement, and maintaining shop safety and cleanliness. Requires reading and applying technical instructions, explaining vehicle information to customers, diagnosing problems, and performing services listed (G1, A4, A5 ASE certifications or equivalent). Requires at least 1 year of related automotive service experience and typically a two-year college or technical program; state license and certifications are required or recommended (including ASE G1, A4, A5 and compliance with inspections). Typical 5-day, 40-hour work week with hourly pay; attention to quality, safety, and compliance with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
