Job Summary
ASE Technician position in Presque Isle, ME responsible for diagnosing and repairing automotive systems across ASE-certified areas, ensuring safety and quality, managing service work orders and MPI, maintaining shop standards, and pursuing ASE certification levels (G1, A4, A5 or higher) and a state vehicle inspection license. The role requires adherence to VIP safety, training, and process policies, with a standard 5-day, 40-hour work week, and emphasis on teamwork, customer communication, and continuous professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations
- Explain vehicle information to customers
- Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems
- Interpret, understand, and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to perform required types of automotive services listed above
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
