Job Summary
ASE Technician responsibilities include diagnosing automotive systems, repairing and replacing parts, tires, and fluids, ensuring services meet VIP quality standards, and maintaining a safe and clean shop. The role requires following safety and loss prevention policies, completing required training (including LMS courses), obtaining ASE certifications (G1, and potentially A4/A5 depending on position), and achieving and maintaining state inspections and BATS/TPMS certifications as directed. The technician must read and interpret technical instructions, explain vehicle information to customers, and perform services listed under ASE series certifications with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and first-time right workmanship. The position entails a standard 40-hour work week, hourly pay, and non-exempt status, with a requirement to uphold the company’s culture and service standards while participating in team meetings, daily shop maintenance, and compliance with municipal, state, and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
