Job Summary
ASE Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive systems per ASE certifications (A1-A8 as applicable), ensuring safety, proper work orders, and adherence to VIP quality standards. Duties include diagnosing vehicles, performing repairs/replacements of parts, fluids, tires, and accessories, completing service work orders and MPI, maintaining a clean and safe shop, and pursuing required ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5, and possibly additional A-series). Must meet minimum experience (1 year) and education (2-year program recommended), possess a valid driver’s license, and comply with safety, loss prevention, and regulatory requirements; standard schedule is 5 days and 40 hours per week; hourly pay type.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
