Job Summary
ASE Technician responsible for diagnosing automotive systems, repairing and maintaining vehicles, and ensuring quality workmanship across ASE-listed areas (A1 Engine Repair, A2 Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, A3 Manual Drive Train & Axles, A4 Suspension & Steering, A5 Brakes, A6 Electrical/Electronic Systems, A7 Heating & Air Conditioning, A8 Engine Performance). Duties include safety compliance, initiating and displaying Service Work Orders, performing MPI, maintaining parts flow, and participating in the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process. Requires ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5 or as specified), state inspection license, BATS and TPMS certifications, and ongoing training through LMS; 40-hour standard work week; non-exempt hourly employment; ability to communicate vehicle information to customers; diagnosing and recommending solutions for automotive problems.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related experience in automotive service field
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- ASE Certification A4 – Suspension & Steering
- ASE Certification A5 – Brakes
- State Inspection License
